Abstract

In the realm of biomedicine, the intricate challenge of efficiently and safely transporting nutrients throughout the human body has long perplexed researchers. Traditional nutrient delivery methods grapple with issues of low solubility, poor stability, and limited bioavailability, impeding optimal nutrient absorption and utilization. In response to these challenges, the emergence of liposome nutrient delivery technology (LNDT) has garnered attention as a transformative solution. Liposomes, micro vesicles enveloped by a phospholipid bilayer membrane, mirror the structure of biological cell membranes, offering excellent biocompatibility and biodegradability. Widely utilized in drug delivery and gene therapy, liposomes have now found a prominent role in the field of nutrient delivery.

LNDT addresses the shortcomings of conventional methods by enhancing nutrient stability, solubility, and enabling targeted delivery, thereby mitigating toxic and side effects. The surface modification of liposomes allows for targeted delivery to specific cells or tissues, elevating nutrient utilization efficiency while minimizing adverse effects on normal cells. This innovative transportation mechanism not only opens new avenues for efficient nutrient utilization but also holds promise for advancing the broader landscape of biomedical research
