Abstract

The global landscape of militaries has undergone rapid evolution, marked by advancements in size, strength, equipment, weapons systems, and infrastructure. This transformation is a response to the contemporary demands and challenges faced by nations worldwide. Beyond their traditional roles, modern militaries are increasingly tasked with innovative responsibilities aligned with national objectives. To meet these demands, new approaches in training systems have been introduced to uphold the professional credibility of military forces. In the context of dynamic military organizations deploying sophisticated weapon technologies, the need for highly educated and well-trained officers and soldiers is paramount (Baratz-Snowden, 2009). The effectiveness of military personnel extends beyond mere capability; it hinges on individuals who not only possess the requisite skills but are also motivated to fulfill their roles. Ensuring the right person is in the right position, with the opportunity to perform the desired job, becomes crucial for optimal performance. As technology continues to advance and military responsibilities diversify, there is a pressing need for military training institutions to update instructors' competencies. This update is essential to equip instructors with the ability to deliver evolving knowledge tailored to the military environment. Consequently, the performance of instructors emerges as a central concern within armed forces, as the quality of training is intrinsically linked to instructors' knowledge and teaching skills. Bramley (1991) defines training as "the systematic development of the attitude, knowledge, skill, and behavior pattern required by an individual to perform adequately a given task or job." This definition emphasizes the importance of systematic development, encompassing planning and control, as well as an individual's role within the broader context of group and team development. This abstract delves into the critical role of instructors in shaping the performance and capabilities of military personnel. It highlights the evolving nature of military training, emphasizing the need for instructors to adapt to technological advancements and changing responsibilities. By examining the nexus between instructor competencies and overall training quality, this research contributes to a deeper understanding of the factors influencing military preparedness in the contemporary landscape
