Abstract

The rapid development of rural tourism in recent years has opened up new opportunities for ethnic villages, leveraging their unique cultural characteristics. However, this growth also poses challenges as the balance between development and preservation becomes crucial. Xisuo Village in Sichuan Province, a key protectorate of ethnic villages, stands at the forefront of tourism development, facing both opportunities and risks. This study focuses on the historical development and ethnic attributes of Xisuo Village, emphasizing the role of promoting interethnic association, communication, and integration. It examines the challenges encountered in tourism development and proposes a sustainable strategy to address them
