Abstract

The Kajiado District of Kenya, primarily inhabited by Maasai pastoralists, has a rich heritage of resilience in the face of environmental challenges. This study explores the traditional strategies employed by Kajiado pastoralists during La Niña drought events, shedding light on their adaptive practices and resource management techniques. By examining these traditional strategies, valuable insights can be gained into the resilience of Maasai communities and the sustainability of their livelihoods in the context of climate variability.
